Lillian (Lil) Martinez, age 88 of Ventura, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at home with her family by her side.

Lil was born in Burbank, California to Santiago and Juana Martinez on October 25, 1928. She was raised in Saticoy, California and graduated from Ventura High School in 1947. Lil worked as an Office Manager for the Navy Exchange at the CBC Naval Base for 29 years. She enjoyed golfing, camping, ceramics, attending her children's, grandchildren's, and great grandchildren's sporting events, and was passionate about her Los Angeles Dodgers.

She enjoyed golfing, camping, ceramics, attending her children's, grandchildren's, and great grandchildren's sporting events, and was passionate about her Los Angeles Dodgers.

She was preceded in death by her mom, dad, brothers, James and Roy Martinez, and sister, Estella Revelez.

Lil is survived by her husband of 66 years, Rey; sons, Randy, Ron (Vicki), and Roland; grandsons, Pete (Maria), Dennis (Monique), and Cory; 3 granddaughters; 7 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Martinez family wishes to extend their gratitude to Livingston Memorial Hospice Care and to Ramona Alamillo and Rachel Medina for their continued concern and friendship to Lil.

A memorial service will be held at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, in Ventura, on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Arnold Reyes officiating. Burial will take place at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, with a reception immediately following at the Moose Lodge, 10269 Telephone Road, Ventura, CA.
